Join us as we do our first project with our new community partner. EmpoweRanch provides inclusive, holistic, and accessible outdoor therapeutic recreation and education for optimal health and well-being of underserved populations in the metro-Phoenix area, especially urban youth and veterans. We provide a sanctuary for people and animals to heal, grow, and thrive using horsemanship, outdoor recreation, service, environmental education, arts, urban farming, and more in our group and private recreational therapy sessions, day camps, summer camps, workshops, special events, volunteer service opportunities, and off-site outreach. They have just moved to this location and have A LOT to do. For this project our primary mission is to build a chicken coop kit. Secondarily, we may assist in the removal of straw bales and other tasks as determined by ranch staff. Closed toe shoes are a MUST. Water and sunscreen will be provided. Please provide your own personal sun protection. The Mission Continues and EmpoweRanch believes in the power of every individual to make a difference. If you're passionate about giving back to the community and making a positive impact, we invite you to join us. From hands-on tasks to behind-the-scenes roles, there's something for everyone. We ask that if your are bringing a child under the age of 7, you have an adult who is dedicated to watching that child and not participating in the project. There is a portapotty on site.
