Event overview

Meaningful Day of Service with The Killeen Platoon & Wounded Warrior Project

As the season of growth begins, The Killeen Platoon & Wounded Warrior Project, in partnership with Fairview Community Church, invites you to be part of an inspiring community effort!

During the second weekend of Spring, we’ll be building raised garden beds and planting vegetables, fruits, and herbs—a hands-on way to celebrate the process of planting seeds and enjoying the harvest. To protect our hard work, we will also construct a privacy fence to keep deer and wildlife at bay.

This is a fantastic opportunity to give back, connect with fellow volunteers, and support a project that will nourish and uplift the community.

Come and be part of something special!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
