Event overview

Join Us This January for #LegacyofService: Honoring MLK Day with Action!

This January, The Mission Continues is calling you to serve in celebration of The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service through #LegacyofService!

MLK Day is more than a day off—it’s a day to honor those who have fought and continue to fight for equality and justice, both in and out of uniform. We recognize the impact of activism and the power of citizens working together for a brighter future. While we've made great strides, there's still work to be done, and veterans are uniquely suited to lead this positive change.

We’ll spend the day revitalizing Lookout Point by removing invasive species, trimming trees and bushes, and creating walking paths to enhance this beautiful space. This exciting project is our first collaboration with a new community partner, and we can’t wait to make an impact together. Water, sunscreen, and gloves will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a readiness to roll up your sleeves!
This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our everyday heroes and honor Dr. King's dream of equality. All ages and skill levels are welcome—let’s make a difference together!

See you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
