November 16, 2024

08:00 AM - 01:00 PM PST

Orange County Platoon

Event overview

Honor Veterans Day with The Mission Continues and City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation & Community Services!

In celebration of Veterans Day, join us in honoring the brave men and women of the Armed Forces and their families by giving back to the communities they continue to serve.

What We'll Be Doing:
Building a pergola and tables/benches at the Jerome Park Community Garden to enhance the outdoor educational and recreational space.
Contributing to a project that supports community engagement and provides a welcoming environment for families.

This is more than volunteer work—it's a chance to connect with others, reflect, and make a lasting impact in our community. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a dedicated community member, your participation will make a difference. Together, we'll honor the past by strengthening the future. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
