Join the El Paso Platoon on September 30th as we honor the lives lost and the spirit of sacrifice from that day with a day of service at Young Woman’s Leadership Academy.

What We’ll Do: • Remove the existing planter boxes and build new ones. Soil will be added along with biodegradable material to ensure proper drainage. • Repainting a set of existing picnic tables • Police call of the area • Planting new seedlings and plants • Leveling of some of the area • Adding mulch between and around planter boxes • Shade solution build above the planter boxes • Freehand YWLA logo

Why Participate? This is a chance to connect with others, reflect on the significance of 9/11, and make a lasting impact in our community. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a dedicated community member, your involvement matters. Together, we can honor the past and strengthen El Paso

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
