Day of Service at Veteran's Village

September 07, 2024

10:00 AM - 04:00 PM PDT

Portland Platoon

Event overview

Join Portland Platoon on September 7th for a Day of Service at Veteran's Village!

We're returning to Veteran's Village to transform and beautify the outdoor living spaces for this deserving community. Our mission is to remove weeds and yard debris, creating a more welcoming and serene environment for the residents. We'll be working with various equipment, ensuring tasks are suited for all ability levels.

After the work is done, we'll gather with the residents and staff to share a BBQ meal, celebrating the community we've built together. While the property has some uneven ground, there are paved paths to ensure everyone can participate comfortably.

Please note that this project is limited to volunteers aged 18 and older, and the day may end early if the heat index requires it.

Your efforts will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served our country. Join us for a day of service, connection, and camaraderie. Together, let's create a beautiful, nurturing space for the veterans at Veteran's Village.

Register today to participate in this transformative initiative and help us make a lasting impact!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
