Event overview

Join us for a meaningful day of service at the Englewood Veterans Garden in Chicago as part of our United in Service: Honoring 9/11 Campaign. Together, we’ll roll up our sleeves to tackle remaining projects from the Mass Deployment Operation Chi Town Salute while launching new initiatives to enhance this vital community space.

Why Get Involved?

Your participation not only honors the spirit of 9/11 through service, but also creates a lasting impact on the lives of veterans and the broader community. The Englewood Veterans Garden is a dedicated space designed specifically for veterans and their families, serving 100% veterans, family members, and caregivers.

This is an opportunity to make a difference and connect with fellow community members who share your passion for service.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
