September 07, 2024

09:00 AM - 01:00 PM EDT

Washington, DC Platoon

Event overview

Join Us for a Day of Impact and Unity with The Mission Continues DC Platoon!

On Saturday, September 7th, we invite you to make a difference at Arcadia, the heart of six vibrant weekend farmer's markets east of the Anacostia River. Together, we'll build a greenhouse to enhance Arcadia's capacity and plant fruit trees with local Veterans Farmer Training Program farmers.

This project is part of our United in Service Campaign, honoring the legacy of 9/11 by empowering veterans through community service. By participating, you'll contribute to a sustainable farming environment and stand with us in fostering a spirit of unity, resilience, and service.

Let's cultivate change together. Join us for a day that will leave a lasting impact on the community and in your heart.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
