Remembering September 11th @ Filbert Street Garden

September 09, 2023

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Baltimore Platoon

Event overview

Get ready to make a difference and be part of something extraordinary! This year marks the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a pivotal moment that sparked countless acts of service and patriotism. Now, we invite YOU to join us in serving at Filbert Street Garden!

Filbert Street Garden is a fantastic nonprofit organization on a mission to create a green oasis, educate about farming and wildlife, and fight food deserts. Together, we'll update their space by mulching, painting tables and benches, and tending to the garden.

So, throw on your TMC blues and clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty – we've got a day of meaningful work ahead! The only thing you need to bring is your incredible can-do attitude!

Let's come together and leave a positive impact on the community at Filbert Street Garden. Don't miss out on this fantastic service project – it's going to be fun, inspiring, and a chance to make a real difference!

See you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
