July 27, 2024

11:00 AM - 03:00 PM EDT

New York City Platoon

Event overview

Alright, Alright, Alright!!!!!!!!!! We are just about done...is what I would have said if we didn't have to pour and smooth out cement today. For everyone who has been with us throughout this process, whether you were here the first time we started this or last week, your efforts are really appreciated. Seriously, none of this would have gotten done without you coming out and putting the effort in to make it happen. Let's keep the momentum going from last week as we finish part 4 of our cement work here at Rincon Criollo ~ La Casita de Chema. I hope you'll be there. How to get there: By Car - Enter Rincon Criollo ~ La Casita de Chema or 749 Brook Ave, Bronx, NY, 10451 By Train - Take the 2 or 5 trains to either Jackson Ave or 3rd Ave/149th Street. Walking to either train stations take the same amount of time. Trains may act up on the weekends so plan accordingly. By Bus - Take the Bx15 or Bx21 bus to 3rd Ave and East 157th Street

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
