Food Distribution with Peace and Friendship Farm

Event overview

This project will offer support to a local, urban community garden in The Hill District called Peace and Friendship Farm. It’s veteran ran and meant to offer a space of solace, learning, and camaraderie. Food insecurity and homelessness is a concern amongst veterans and the community of the Hill District. Kent Bey fights both of those and is a beacon in his communities through his various partnerships to combat both.

Free Food Distribution Day Saturday September 23, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peace and Friendship Farm -- Volunteers are needed to help prep bags and pass out bags of free food.

We will help to organize donated materials, harvest and bag fresh foods from the garden and supporting organizations.

Various other opportunities will be provided:
