MLK 2024

January 20, 2024

08:30 AM - 02:00 PM CST

San Antonio Platoon

Event overview

The legacy of Dr. Martin L. King is a celebration of life. He lived to serve his community and inspired millions of people from around the world to make necessary changes. On January 20th 2024, please join us as we build a new legacy in partnership with Young Womens Leadership Academy. We will be building, painting, planting and collaborating with Young Womens Leadership Academy in an effort to maximize learning spaces and beautify the spaces that already exist in order to bring brighter experiences to the scholars who will be impacted by these projects. We will provide music, food, and drinks. There will be a first aid station with sunblock and bug spray for those who need it. Snacks will also be provided throughout the day.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
