Event overview

Join The Mission Continues at Los Americas Newcomer Academy to help beautify their campus! We are seeking volunteers to assist us with building benches and the landscape with new plates and mulch, and overall beautify this campus and help the students thrive. Las Americas Newcomer Middle School is truly a multi-cultural school that embraces diversity. For the past five years, we have been rolling out a progressive and innovative program specifically developed to meet the uniques needs of our newcomer students. There goals are to help students acquire beginning English skills, provide instruction in core academic content areas. Guide student’s acculturation into the U.S. school system, and to accelerate the students’ learning so they can transition to other programs and be prepared for the literacy and content demands of mainstream courses. Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
