Join TMC-Pittsburgh's Hazelwood Platoon and our partners: the Hazelwood Urban Ag Team, with support from Grounded Strategies Inc. as we get “EveryBuddy’s Garden” ready for Fall!* On September 28th we will be at EveryBuddy's Garden, which is one of Hazelwood’s three Community Gardens. We will spread a mountain or two of compost onto the raised-beds; laying out new beds; using brick and stone from the site, in order to create a design based on principles of Permaculture to make an area that is both agriculturally productive, and pleasantly inviting for visitors. With enough volunteers, we will also be working on projects like: assembling a Rain Barrel and improving the garden's Tool Shed with a set of shelves made from salvaged lumber. Event will run from 10AM-4:00PM All ages and abilities welcomed. Donuts, coffee, water, and lunch will be provided, so please register to allow us to have enough food.
