Service Project

Rooted in Service @ Bridge the Gap

April 25, 2026

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT

Jacksonville Platoon

Event overview

Join Travis Manion Foundation's Jacksonville Service Platoon as we continue our service at Bridge the Gap where we’ll be building raised garden beds that will bring fresh food, beauty, and life to the community. Whether you’re a seasoned DIY pro or someone who just enjoys being part of a great team, there’s a role for you. We’ll be measuring, cutting, assembling, filling, and planting turning simple materials into spaces that will grow vegetables, flowers, and opportunities for connection. This isn’t just about building garden beds it’s about cultivating something bigger. Together, we’ll create a space where people can gather, learn, and enjoy the rewards of fresh, homegrown food. Plus, there’s nothing quite like stepping back at the end of the day and seeing something you built with your own hands. Expect good vibes, teamwork, a little dirt, and a lot of impact. Come ready to work hard, laugh a lot, and leave knowing you made a lasting difference

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
