Event overview

On Sunday February 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, we invite you to join us and the Leadership Miami Alumni at Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center for a day of service that is both meaningful and transformative. As we commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, we pay tribute to his ceaseless efforts of hope, healing and change.
Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center’s mission is to benefit children and adults with special needs or disabilities by offering them the opportunity to interact with dedicated horses in a manner that promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
This volunteer project will focus on: • Restoring and creating sensory activation displays to enrich accessibility and expand the therapy center’s programs • Constructing a new paddock to exercise the horses • Completing the sensory trail

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
