Operation: OPEN DOORS @ US Vets

July 26, 2025

07:45 AM - 12:00 PM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Come out and help us get US Vets transitional housing location in Phoenix open for veterans who are currently unhoused. We will be helping during this work day by starting the necessary projects of cleaning out the filters for room AC units; sanitizing and cleaning the water dispensers and ice machines onsite; installing fire sprinkler covers; installing window safety locks; mounting emergancy exit door alarms; and install security locks for the rooms. This will be day of some hard work but nothing TMC-PHX cannot handle! Many of us veterans have experienced homelessness, we know the journey it takes to come back from that. We know what our fellow veterans are going through as they navigate the experience and also know how vital it is that we, as their brothers and sisters, are there to uplift them and give them that hand up. Join us as we get to work creating a space and place for veterans to find the support they need. Wear your TMC blue shirt and we look forward to seeing you there.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
