October 30, 2016

New York City Platoon

Event overview

Join The Mission Continues Bronx Platoon as we prepare the morning meal to our Bronx neighbors! Part of the Solution, an organization that believes that every person should have access to the essentials of life and the support necessary to achieve stability, and ultimately self-sufficiency. POTS’ believes in a ‘one-stop shop’ model of providing a coordinated and comprehensive package of support is the best means of addressing the myriad needs that accompany poverty. They commit that no one who comes to POTS will leave without help or hope. In order to combat this, we will be preparing the morning meal during the hours of 8:15am and 11:15am. So come on out and lend a hand to your fellow man!! Public transit directions: Take the B or D train to Kingsbridge Rd, then time for a little walk. Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
