Event overview

Due to the recent rain, invasive weeds have been plaguing the The Greater Newark Conservancy's Hawthorne Farm. So, let's grab our gloves, put on our work boots, and work on the farm! The Greater Newark Conservancy promotes the use of green spaces for positive effects in environmental stewardship in Newark. They lead as the state's largest urban farm and educational center. Come support New Jersey's largest urban farm! We hope to see you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
