One Tam Support At Mt Tamalpais Bolinas Ridge

May 11, 2019

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM PDT

Bay Area Platoon

Event overview

Join San Francisco 1st Platoon as we support California State Parks and One Tam for a morning of habitat restoration! We will be removing a fast-spreading weed (oblong spurge) on Bolinas Ridge, while enjoying sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. This event is part of One Tam's Nature Space program, offered in partnership with Mill Valley Recreation to create new opportunities to learn about our local environment. We will be using hand tools, and no experience is necessary, but please note we will be walking and working on uneven ground. Water, snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided. This event is suitable for ages 12 and up; volunteers younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
