Event overview

Hey Ladies! Yes, all of you strong, beautiful, intelligent and amazing women out there! This one is for you! Join the women of The Mission Continues in Pittsburgh as we work alongside women and children from the Hazelwood community in creating a fabulous space for Center of Life's after school media/library classroom! We will be painting walls, refurbishing bookshelves, building a reading loft and a puppet theater, making puppets, assembling IKEA furniture and more!!! This project has been lead, from the beginning by The Mission Continues female platoon members, the female staff at Center of Life and the female parent and caregivers in Hazelwood. Lunch from the Voodoo Brewery Food Truck will be provided to all registered participants! Water and Gatorade will be on site courtesy of Wounded Warrior Project! Join us to celebrate #HerMission and take this opportunity to serve alongside other daughters, sisters, mothers and friends.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
