Special Event

Run As One

April 01, 2017

08:30 AM - 11:00 AM EDT

Pittsburgh Platoon

Event overview

Run As One is held in honor of Marine veteran Clay Hunt, an original member of Team Rubicon, Mission Continues Fellow, Wounded Warrior Project Alum, and avid sportsman, who took his own life after battling PTSD and depression. Clay was an active participant in many veteran organizations and the event serves as a celebration of the networks that empower, unite, and enrich the lives of veterans. It is a symbol of leadership, action, and collaboration across the veteran landscape globally and within our local communities. Run As One in Pittsburgh will start and finish at the Grand Concourse Restaurant in Station Square. We will utilize the Three Rivers Heritage Trail along the Monongahela River. This event is NOT a race and participants can walk, run, bike, roll, or stroll. The trail is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. The run/walk/jog starts at 9:00 AM sharp! Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
