Service Project

Earth Love Day

April 22, 2017

10:00 AM - 04:00 PM EDT

Atlanta Platoon

Event overview

Come join the Mission Continues as we celebrate "Earth Day" 2017 and help give a little something back to the earth. The neighborhood use to be called a "food dessert" with the lack of fresh produce near by. The club wants to teach the children about the importance of gardening with a new " Garden to Table Program". 2nd platoon is dedicated in leading the way to make it happen. Our friends at Bellwood needs volunteers to plant our already built garden boxes. We will decorate the area to make it look very eye pleasing. With time we will also police call the areas around the club. Hopefully, we will also plant some trees. We will be getting that soil in between our fingers and enjoying our earth.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
