Memorial Flag Planting

May 23, 2026

09:00 AM - 02:00 PM PDT

Bay Area Platoon

Event overview

Join Travis Manion Foundation's Bay Area Platoon at the Stockton Rural Cemetery for a meaningful opportunity to serve through action and community impact as we prepare for Memorial Day. Volunteers will assist with flag placement at military veterans’ gravesites, helping us honor those who served and sacrificed for our nation. This simple yet powerful act ensures that every veteran is remembered, recognized, and never forgotten. This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it’s a chance to come together as a community, reflect on the true meaning of service, and pay tribute with dignity and respect. By participating, you help preserve sacred spaces, support the legacy of our veterans, and strengthen our shared commitment to service and remembrance. All are welcome—bring your family, friends, and heart for service.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
