Honoring Our Heroes at the W.R.C Texas State Veterans Home

Event overview

The Killeen Platoon of The Mission Continues is proud to partner with VFW Post 12209 of Fort Cavazos for a heartfelt service project dedicated to honoring our fellow veterans. Together, we will be visiting the VA Nursing Home in Temple, Texas, where we will issue care packs to the elderly veterans residing there—many of whom have sacrificed so much in service to our nation. As a gesture of appreciation and respect, we will also be serving a light lunch, cake, and ice cream to both the veterans and the dedicated staff who care for them.

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
