#HerMission at EmpoweRanch (Women's Only Project)

As part of the #HerMission initiative, The Mission Continues advocates for cultural transformation (both within the Veteran community and in the general public) by recognizing the service and contributions of women who have served in the military. Many women do not self-identify as Veterans and have a lower rate of participation in Veteran events and organizations. In order to reach more women and discover critical potential needs, such as social isolation and food insecurity, The Mission Continues' Phoenix Service Platoon has created a special community service event specifically for women and women Veterans in the local area! On Saturday, March 15th, the Phoenix Service Platoon will partner with EmpoweRanch to give local Women Veterans the opportunity to volunteer, lead and continue to serve their community. Additionally, the Phoenix Service Platoon will be elevating the often-untold stories of the incredible Women Veterans in attendance with a focus on creating and fostering bonds and long-lasting social support with local Veterans and community members. The primary mission will be to assist with building a fire pit and seating along with garden/rock painting on the side. Report for duty in your community with The Phoenix Platoon on Saturday, March 15th to celebrate the contributions of local Women Veterans! To minimize possible barriers that might prevent local Women Veterans from participating, this will be a child-friendly project. The partner does ask that any young children be closely supervised as this is a working ranch. Lunch and water will be provided.
