Event overview

Join Us This January for #LegacyofService: Honoring MLK Day with Action!

This January, The Mission Continues is calling you to serve in celebration of The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service through #LegacyofService!

MLK Day is more than a day off—it’s a day to honor those who have fought and continue to fight for equality and justice, both in and out of uniform. We recognize the impact of activism and the power of citizens working together for a brighter future. While we've made great strides, there's still work to be done, and veterans are uniquely suited to lead this positive change.

We are going to do some spring cleaning and organizing the supply shed. We are asking for participants to be at least 10 years of age. We are providing lunch for those in attendance. This is a collaborative effort with the Fisher House and Wounded Warrior Project. The project is located on Camp Pendleton- Base Access Privilege is required. If you do not have Base Access Privilege, please, call Luis Estrada at (904) 891-0448 to get access.
This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to our everyday heroes and honor Dr. King's dream of equality. Let’s make a difference together!

See you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
