November 11, 2024

08:00 AM - 01:00 PM HST

Oahu Platoon

Event overview

Join your veteran brothers and sisters at the 78th Wahiawa Lions Veterans Day Parade. This year’s theme is “Honoring Guardians of Our Freedom”. We have the opportunity to ensure this parade goes off without a hitch, in the way that Veterans in Service can! We will be helping by staging and launching participant groups on the parade route! Located in the center of Oahu, Wahiawa is the community anchor to Schofield Barracks Army Base, Wheeler Army Airfield, and Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS) Pacific. This parade hosts many community, school and veteran organizations every year. Join us as we march in Pride of Place!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
