SVA NatCon Service Project 2025

January 02, 2025

08:00 AM - 01:00 PM MST

National Events Platoon

Event overview

Last year, motivated veterans joined Student Veterans of America and The Mission Continues at Blue Hole Farm to kick off NatCon. Together, we made a real difference and formed lasting connections, and we’re thrilled to continue that momentum in Year 2!

This January, we're diving into a new project with a powerful mission at The Place in Colorado Springs. Formerly known as Urban Peak, The Place is dedicated to empowering youth to exit homelessness and build self-determined, fulfilling lives.

Our Goals Include:

Painting the entry, office, staff restroom, two ops rooms, and dining room
Refreshing and reorganizing key spaces like the kitchen, storage room, and two dorm rooms
Transforming the former Zen Room into a staff lounge and creating a new Zen Room from an office
Clearing outdoor spaces by demoing old picnic tables and organizing storage sheds

Help us make an impact, connect with fellow veterans, and bring life to this essential community space. Register today to be part of this meaningful project!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
