2024 East Valley Veteran's Parade Walk and Ride

November 11, 2024

10:15 AM - 01:00 PM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Come join us for a short walk through Central Mesa as our service platoon participates in the East Valley Veteran's Day Parade! The parade route is about 1 mile. Scooters are ok on the parade route and the pace is very gentle and accommodates those in wheel chairs. There is about another 1 mile of walking involved in getting parked, moving to the meet up location (see below), then to staging and walking back to where you parked from the end of the parade route. All Blue Staging designated entries will turn off Mesa Drive and head West on 8th Street (toward Center). The Drop off area is at the parking lot on the south side of 8th Street. All vehicles will enter the parking lot from the west side of the parking area, drop off their participants, and then return (east) to Mesa Drive. THERE IS NO PARKING IN THE DROPOFF AREA. We will meet at 1015 at SE corner of 8th Street and Center then proceed to checkin. Please bring your own sun protection including sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
