Richmond Platoon

Event overview

Join the Richmond Platoon on September 14th for a Day of Service and Unity!

We invite you to join us and the Peter Paul Development Center for a meaningful day of service. We'll construct and stain a new book cabinet, waterproof stain picnic tables, and repair an arbor bench on the playground, ensuring these spaces are ready to inspire and support our community.

This isn't just volunteer work; it's a chance to connect, reflect, and honor the legacy of 9/11 by making a lasting impact whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a dedicated community member, your participation matters.

Together, we'll make Richmond stronger, better, and more connected. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special—join us in making a difference!

Register today to participate in this transformative initiative and help us make a lasting impact!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
