Event overview

The ATLANTA Platoon is excited to return to our community partner, Oakview Elementary, for Phase 3 of our projects this Veterans Day! Together, we'll make a lasting impact on this vital educational space.

What We'll Be Doing:
Laying mulch and dirt to enhance the outdoor learning environment.
Creating an outdoor classroom that fosters hands-on learning for students.
Painting and completing various projects that benefit the kids and accommodate those with disabilities and varying levels of mobility. Everyone is Welcome!

This is a family-friendly event—come one, come all! Whether you're a veteran, a community member, or just looking to lend a hand, we'd love to have you join us.

Mark your calendars and get ready to make a difference this Veterans Day!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
