San Antonio 9/11 Event

September 07, 2024

08:45 AM - 02:00 PM CDT

San Antonio Platoon

Event overview

Step up with the San Antonio Platoon on 9/11 for a day of impact, unity, and remembrance at the Land Heritage Institute! In honor of our brave first responders, we're calling on veterans, community members, and all those with a heart for service to roll up their sleeves and make a difference.

This isn’t just any volunteer event—it’s a chance to forge bonds through shared purpose as we clean, rebuild, and paint to breathe new life into this cherished local landmark. Picture the energy as we transform spaces, the laughter and stories shared over paintbrushes and tools, and the pride we’ll all feel knowing we’re strengthening our community together.

Let’s channel the spirit of 9/11, a day of resilience and coming together, into tangible action. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or joining us for the first time, your contribution matters. Together, we’ll honor those who serve by making San Antonio stronger, better, and more connected. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something truly special!

Register today to participate and help us make a lasting impact!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
