Event overview

Support Veterans at the James A. Haley Veterans Day Parade with the Tampa Platoon!

Join the Tampa Platoon as we come together to support the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital Veterans Day Parade! This is your chance to be part of an exciting community event that honors our veterans while giving back through service.

We need your help setting up, handing out flyers, breaking down, and completing additional tasks throughout the day. The platoon will also host a resource table to provide information about The Mission Continues and have a spot in the parade, so there are plenty of ways for you to get involved!

How You Can Participate:
Resource Table Volunteers (2-4 needed): Speak with attendees and share information about TMC.
Parade Walkers (5-20 needed): Walk in the parade, hold our signs, and hand out candy to the crowd!
General Volunteers & Attendees (Unlimited): Help where needed and enjoy the parade and festivities.

Event Schedule
9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Ceremony
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Parade, activities, and food

This is a wonderful way to show your support for our veterans and connect with the community. We hope to see you there!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
