Grow the Future at the Garden of Tomorrow

April 27, 2024

07:45 AM - 11:00 AM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

We will be working with staff from the Tiger Mountain Foundation, local residents, and volunteers on a variety of tasks necessary to keep the garden fully functional and producing a bountiful crop. Be prepared to get dirty weeding, watering, planting and possibly building a raised garden bed among other things. There are restrooms in the Senior Center, next to the parking lot. The staff advises anyone going to the restroom to go in pairs. You will need an escort from a TMF staff member or senior center resident. There is no drinking water source on site, but water will be provided.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
