Event overview

The Mission Continues is back at Antioch Middle School and we are proud to integrate the spirit of service and community engagement that defines our organization. This initiative is part of our 2024 Earth Day of Service to deploy our dedicated veteran-led volunteer force into under-resourced communities across the country. This year, we welcome new and returning volunteers to leave a #LEGACYOFSERVICE with us. Throughout the month of April, paralleling our national efforts, PLT615 will join service platoons from coast to coast, leading a collective endeavor by hosting impactful projects for veterans and local communities. At Antioch Middle School, we continue this tradition by focusing on sustainable education and environmental stewardship through the restoration of the school outdoor recreational areas. Project Goals: Revitalization - Creating an area to promote student's' physical, mental and social health Community Engagement - Serving as a platform for collaboration and skill-sharing among veterans, community members, and students. Sustainable Impact - Establishing a lasting concession and recreation area for the students and the community Activities: -Restoring concessions and basketball courts Join Us: We invite veterans, community members, and all those passionate about education and sustainability to participate in this enriching project. Your support and involvement are crucial in realizing the vision of this initiative. Contact Jamie at (423) 836-3720 with questions.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
