San Antonio Platoon

Event overview

Please join our San Antonio platoon our rescheduled Earth Day, May 11, 2024, at Burbank High School as we support the last urban farm (within a school) in Texas. Burbank High School is 6 mins south of the downtown area. It is not only a high school, but the last urban farm at a school in the State. Together we will help paint some walls in the animal quarters. We will build some garden beds, plant some trees and help with a fence for the duck pond. Food, snacks and drinks will be provided. Please bring your Farm-realness attire and be a part of this wonderful event.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
