Silent Sunday at South Mountain Park With RWB: Exercise, Socialize and Sanitize

April 28, 2024

06:45 AM - 09:00 AM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Join us for our "hybrid-joint" social/support project with Team RWB on Silent Sunday at South Mtn Park! On Silent Sunday, the main road through the park is closed to vehicle traffic. We will have the opportunity to exercise and socialize by walking or biking (your choice) the main road. This is individually paced. Very likely we will be picking up trash along the road as we walk but the task(s) we complete are subject to change. We will meet at 6:45 am at the west end of the parking lot of the Ranger Station. Come through the Main Gate and take your first left. Continue down the road approximately 1/4 mile, and you'll see the Ranger Station and parking lot on your left. Dogs are welcome. Children are welcome but we will be walking several miles.

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
