Community Garden Build for The 75216 Area

Event overview

Let's help a newly created non profit, Mission 216, serving the 75216 area, build a community garden. The goal is to building an outdoor garden, put up fencing and maybe some picnic tables; so that they are able to have consistent access to nutritious food. Mission 216, aims to teach their community in how to plant, prepare and cook with healthy foods. Bring friends and family! If you can arrive 11:30 am for volunteer check in and instructions. We will start the event at 12 pm.

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
