Event overview

Join us as at MyKawa Farms for our Earth Month service project! I'm excited to share an opportunity for us to come together and make a positive impact on our environment, while also supporting a fantastic educational initiative. This Saturday, April 27th, we’ll be hosting Houston’s Earth Day project by volunteering at Mykawa Farms and I'd love for you to join me. Mykawa Farms is not only a beautiful space but also a hub for innovative educational programming. Their mission is to provide students with a foundational knowledge of food and where it comes from. Below are the details for our Earth Day project: Date: Saturday April 27th, 2024 Time: 8:00 am – 2:00 PM Location: Mykawa Farms, 6401 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston TX 77048 Activities: To include but not limited to, building Arbors and trellises for sensory garden, painting, spreading mulch and cleaning up the area. While also supporting an important cause. Feel free to invite friends and family who might want to participate as well. The more, the merrier! Lunch will be provided! Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
