Event Overview

February is Black History Month. This is a time to come together and celebrate. This is a time to gather and recognize the central role of African Americans within United States history. Last year our KC Platoon started a gardening book club, let’s continue the journey by reading “Rooted in the Earth: Reclaiming the African American Environmental Heritage” by Dianne Glave. A little about the author: Dr. Glave is a historian and professor specializing in both African American and environmental history.
