MLK Prep Day at Spartan Community Center

Event overview

In preparation for our big MLK National Day of Service Project on the following day Saturday, January 18th, we need a small team of volunteers to get everything ready to go. We will be picking up supplies, organizing materials, cutting wood, priming walls and more. Several of us will be there all day, but we encourage you to come whenever fits your schedule between 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Lunch will be provided about noon. Accessibility Information: we will have an accessible porta potty on site, however, the projects will be on the 2nd and 3rd floor and there is not an elevator on site.

What To Wear

Your blue TMC shirts, closed toed shoes and things that can get dirty.

What to Bring

Bring your desire to serve. Also, if you have ladders, drills, saws, drill bits, and/or hand tools that you would be willing to share for the prep day and project day, please bring them too!

Inclement Weather

Rain, snow or shine. This will be indoors.

Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
