Operation Baybrook LAUNCH Project

July 21, 2018

09:00 AM - 02:00 PM EDT

Baltimore Platoon

Event overview

Baltimore 2nd Platoon is officially relocating to the Brooklyn/Curtis Bay Neighborhood of South Baltimore City, and we're going to kick off this new Operation with a BANG! You're invited to join 100 veterans and active duty personnel from up and down the East Coast for our very first service project in our new neighborhood. We'll be partnering with City of Refuge - Baltimore, and helping to breathe life into their vision for the surrounding community. We have a variety of projects planned for Saturday, 7/21, but you can expect to make a lasting impact alongside a sea of new Battle Buddies! We're currently planning on clearing an inner-block lot for a new urban farm, building a pavilion, creating some safe play and rest structures for neighborhood kids, and ending the day with some burgers and hot dogs while we throw a small block party to celebrate a day of hard work. You don't want to miss this one!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
