Event Overview

Join Oahu's First Platoon for a work day at Honouliuli National Monument. We will be helping the National Parks Service maintain the active archaeological sites at the internment camp. Meet up will be in the North section of University of Hawaii West Oahu's parking lot. We have to enter through a controlled access point, so we must all arrive and leave the site together. If you are late, you will not be able to get in. Prior to entry, an NPS volunteer form must be filled out to gain access to the site that will be collected the morning of the work day by NPS personnel. NPS Volunteer form link: Bring a small packed lunch and snacks, everything carried in must be carried out and we must leave no waste whatsoever. Entrance to the site requires a short hike and the terrain is quite rugged. Be prepared to sweat!
