TMC+RTX: Serving Together in Hartford

Join us on November 1st as we celebrate our annual Veterans In Service campaign in partnership with RTX and The Mission Continues! This year, we’re excited to serve alongside the incredible staff and youth of the Southwest Boys & Girls Club—an essential community hub providing a safe, supportive environment and impactful programming for kids and teens across Hartford. This club is the oldest club in Hartford, established in 1956. It's also the last club in Hartford waiting to be renovated.

Our day of service will focus on continuing the work done back in April to revitalize both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the Club - creating a more vibrant, welcoming environment for learning and play. Projects are likely to include:

--Expanding outdoor seating options to support outdoor learning and group activities
--Landscaping to enhance the club’s curb appeal and introduce pollinator-friendly plants
--Installing free and accessible little library and little pantry stands for students, staff, and the community
--Indoor painting to refresh key spaces that are beginning to show signs of wear

This Veterans Month, we’re not only giving back—we’re helping build spaces where curiosity, creativity, and community can thrive. Come ready to roll up your sleeves and make an impact!

We'll have plenty of snacks and hydration to keep us going throughout the day. Lunch will also be provided at the conclusion of the service project.
