Event overview

The Mission Continues engages veterans with local organizations and citizens to improve our communities. In honor of those fallen on 9/11, we are holding a National Day of Service. Come serve with us! Alongside the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and Points of Light, we are giving KIPP Zenith Academy a makeover by:  Building a library  Building a community garden  Landscaping  Building and painting benches  Planting trees  Donating and sorting books  Painting murals, and more! We will have activities for kids, so bring the family! The first 100 people to show up will receive a free ticket to join us at the Houston Dynamo game on 9/26/15, when they will honor The Mission Continues as Charity of the Match. Date: 9/12/15 Time: 8:30 – optional breakfast 9:00 - national anthem 9:05 - keynote speakers 9:15 – get to work! 1:00 – eat lunch Free: Blue T-Shirts and Dynamo Tickets!

Just bring yourself, family, and friends (motivation will be provided).

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
