Service Project

2024 Operation United In Service

September 07, 2024

07:45 AM - 11:00 AM MST

Phoenix Platoon

Event overview

Join Us on September 7th for a Day of Community Impact at the Phoenix Softball Complex!

We’re teaming up with the City of Phoenix’s Parks and Rec Division to rejuvenate the softball complex, which will host a national tournament this November. Our mission is to paint the restroom building, handrails, stairs, and emergency lane curbs, ensuring the complex shines for the big event.

We’ll meet at the restroom building, located at the center of the four softball fields on the southwest corner of Baseline Rd and Cesar Chavez Park Road. Lunch and water will be provided.

At The Mission Continues, we believe in the power of every individual to make a difference. Whether you’re passionate about hands-on tasks or prefer a behind-the-scenes role, there’s a place for you in this project. No matter your physical capabilities, your contribution is valued and needed.

Join us as we work together to build a more inclusive, compassionate world, one project at a time. Let’s make this day count!

Who We Are

In 2025, Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) acquired The Mission Continues, bringing two best-in-class organizations together to provide more opportunities for veterans to find community, lead, and serve. Guided by the ethos “If Not Me, Then Who…,” veterans continue their service, build connections, and thrive in their post-military lives by serving as character role models to youth. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. Learn more about TMF at travismanion.org

Who should volunteer?

Our service projects are for all veterans with a desire to continue their service and for all non-veterans that want to be part of a nationwide movement to transform communities. Please note, age and accessibility accommodations can be made at any project. There is room for everyone to make an impact.
