The St. Louis 1st Service Platoon believes that the youth are our future, and it’s our mission to support Youth Mentorship & Education. Together we will work to make a better St. Louis by inspiring and supporting people, building Safe Places & Spaces for learning and education, and by using service and community interactions to build bridges across race, class, religion and culture.

Our projects will take place throughout the St. Louis Promise Zone. Through Operation Crayons to College, a partnership with Normandy Kindergarten Center, we joined the collective impact happening in the 24:1 Initiative. Our projects help create a more vibrant and well-resourced learning environment for students.

As the platoon leader of STL 1st, Jai brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Joining TMC in 2016, she first participated in OWS, and later joined 2nd platoon's leadership team. Moving forward, she hopes to work together within our communities to effect tangible and effective change.

Jai and her leadership team are excited about upcoming opportunities and working with Veteran and non-Veteran volunteers to effect a positive change within the St. Louis community.
