He concurrently earned his credential as a certified Healthcare Administration (MHA) in that same year from Texas A&M University. In December 2017, Tony earned another Master of Science degree in Management & Leadership (MS/ML) at TAMUCT and pursued a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree at Walden University. He currently applies his skillls and expertise as the chief executive officer of the American Veterans Mission, a board member of Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful (KCCB), a board member of Texas A&M University Alumni Association, servant leader, community volunteer, and as a platoon leader for The Mission Continues (TMC)’s Killeen Service Platoon.

Anthony is a retired commissioned officer of the US Army, with three tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and one tour to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The U.S. Army decided to retire him medically on October 21, 2015, due to injuries he sustained during his most recent deployment to Afghanistan. He completed over 15 years of active-duty military service upon his medical retirement in 2015. Before joining the Army, he was a high school student who worked as a general manager at a Burger King restaurant. After graduating from high school in 1997, he enlisted as a Private (E-1) in the Army. Eventually, he worked his way up the ranks to Captain by attaining his officer commission via the United States Military Academy. He held a multitude and numerous types of jobs as a soldier in the Army. His last two positions in the Army were a Commanding Officer of 220 soldiers in a combat theater and a Chief Operations Officer (COO) and the mayor of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Spin Boldak in Afghanistan, a U.S. coalition force’s base consisting of over 3,000 military and civilian tenants. He considers it an honor and a privilege to have served our nation with some of America’s bravest sons and daughters.

As a lifelong learner, Anthony hopes to be able to identify and evaluate viable strategic alternatives that address organizational problems and to be able to apply sufficient group mechanisms such as negotiation, mentorship, and leadership to different categories of workgroups. He believes that the knowledge he learned from academia would meritoriously supplement the already acquired knowledge from his personal experiences as a leader and follower in his held jobs. The accumulated understanding of his previous courses, previous roles, and the knowledge that he will continue to acquire from his colleagues and life experiences would help him craft and recommended a strategy and implementation plan for a company or organization. Such a method and policy could lead to or sustain that organization’s competitive advantage, attain and sustain its profitability, and strengthen its shareholder value.

Anthony enjoys volunteering in the local community. As a certified Healthcare Administrator, a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE), and a Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Peer Mentor, he is a massive advocate for wounded veterans and their healthcare rights and privileges. He believes that thinking globally and acting locally is an efficient way to affect our world positively. He values altruism, and he sincerely believes that his community involvement and volunteer work genuinely benefit our local community and society as a whole.

Anthony has two dogs as pets: Bella and Reese. He enjoys bird watching and primitive camping, and he loves to camp and hike at the Colorado Bend State Park and the Sulphur Springs Camp located in Bend, Texas. Tony also admittedly enjoys backyard gardening at his home in Killeen, Texas. Moreover, he enjoys watching science fiction or horror movies and eating out locally with a few close friends now and then.
