National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen and promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. Join us as 2nd Platoon helps Baltimore Police Departments' Western District setup for their National Night out on Tuesday August 1, 2017. We will help setup starting at 1200 (noon) and if there is enough interest, may help with teardown as well. National Night Out - Mondawmin Mall (Target Parking Lot) 2401 Liberty Heights Ave Baltimore, MD 21215 1200-1230: Arrive on site/safety brief/start work The goal of National Night Out is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message to criminals that our neighborhoos are organized and fighting back. If this is the your first or 50th service project with 2nd Platoon, we'd love to have you out there getting to know the community we are focused on helping - Harlem Park West. The community, in partnership with various entitites including the Maryland National Guard, Police and Fire Departments will host the family-friendly event from 4pm - 8pm.
